Most people choose a dental clinic on trust, and trust comes down to one question: are the recommendations you are hearing the ones you actually need?
SmileCrafters Dental is an Ontario practice group built around that question, where care is explained in plain language, delivered comfortably, and recommended only when it is clinically warranted. We serve patients across North York from our North York clinic, and we operate as part of a practice group that also includes Ancaster, Hamilton and Brantford.
Fixed braces remain the more predictable choice for complex tooth movements, including heavy crowding, open bite, crossbite and rotations that aligners handle less efficiently. We treat children, teens and adults. Ceramic brackets are less visible than metal but handle a little differently, and we will explain that trade-off before you decide.
Our North York clinic welcomes a wide mix of patients: growing families, students, working adults and seniors, often with several members of the same household booking together.
Because SmileCrafters operates clinics across Ontario, including Ancaster, Hamilton and Brantford, patients who commute or relocate can continue care within the same practice rather than starting over with a new chart. Records, imaging and treatment plans carry across. That continuity matters most during longer courses of care such as orthodontics or staged implant work, where consistency between appointments affects the outcome.

Cost and coverage remain two of the strongest factors in whether people in Canada seek dental care at all, which is why we provide an estimate before treatment begins rather than after. We also work with insurance providers and offer direct billing where your plan supports it. If your plan does not allow direct billing, our team can help with the paperwork.
We also accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan, which may cover a portion of the cost of eligible services when recommended by an oral health provider, subject to plan rules and your individual eligibility.
For patients without benefits, we accept cash, Visa, Mastercard and Interac. Financing may also be arranged through Beautifi or LendCare, and senior and student discounts may be available on eligible services. Offers, terms and eligibility can change, so please confirm the current details with the clinic.
Yes. Our North York clinic accepts new patients for cleanings, examinations, cosmetic consultations, orthodontic assessments and surgical treatment. A first visit typically includes a health history review, an oral assessment, appropriate imaging and a personalized care plan.
Same-day and emergency appointments may be available depending on the day’s schedule. Call the clinic directly so the team can triage your symptoms. If you have facial swelling, uncontrolled bleeding, trouble breathing or swallowing, or major facial trauma, seek emergency medical care immediately.
Fees depend on the treatment, the complexity of your case, whether imaging or additional procedures are required, and your insurance coverage. We provide an estimate before treatment begins. Contact the clinic for pricing specific to your situation.
Yes. We offer nitrous oxide, oral sedation and IV conscious sedation. The right option depends on your medical history, medications, anxiety level and the procedure. A dentist reviews your eligibility and safety before recommending any sedation.
